The statue of The Virgin Mary is a 20 tonne 15m tall bronze statue built in the 19th century and stood with outstretched hands ever since overlooking the bay of Jounieh
The Statue was made in Lyon - France and brought to Lebanon and installed in 1908.

I never knew that Blessed Mother of God have a chuch in wide arabic world . Your pictures and journal are bringing me hope and trust that someday shall be peace and reconciliation between all people in the world , indiferent of religion and faith .
